MY BLOG IS NOW :

The Birth of "MY DAILY BREAD DAIRY"
paintings that feed the soul.....

Hello My Friends,

Glad you could stop by today!
I have been doing some thinking since the beginning of the New Year and I decided to share my world in an more upfront and personal way. While I have reflected on thoughts on what others think what it could  be like living the life of an artist, I thought, well I should really be writing my diary. Isn't it interesting at the very thought of reading or at least peaking into somebody else's  diary?  Well now you can!

So I'm wondering what your soul is thirsting for this year? Are you looking back at 2012 and hoping for change? I know I do. I want to grow, and develop more meaningful relationships with my community and my family. That's what moves me to paint paintings that feed MY SOUL. I love to paint everything that feeds my soul, that fills me with peace,  joy and laughter. I plan on sharing the many aspects of my life that provoke me to paint based on the "WORD OF THE DAY", and how that word is entwinde in my creative process.

Laughter feeds my soul, noth'n like a good laugh, HEY before you go, how about a good laugh for the day?
I read this joke this morning:

A thief in Paris decided to steal some famous paintings from a museum called the Louvre Museum. After grabbing the paintings and making it passed security, the thief jumps in his vehicle for the get away. Several blocks down the street he runs out of gas. When asked how he could mastermind such a crime as this, the man replies. "But Monsieur, you see, I had no Monet to buy Degas, to make my van Gogh". ha-ha...gotta love it!

Love much, laugh much, live well!  I Love You!

“This is a small price to pay for the large impact it will have on peoples lives,” states Renee “I have always felt a strong conviction to give back and pay it forward. My purpose as an artist is to create art that will make a difference in the world. I am honored to participate in this ongoing project with my personal goals of promoting a happier healthier world.

Particularly close to her heart has been the plight of helping single Mom’s and people who live without clean drinking water.  Growing up Dumont’s Mom was her greatest support and encouragement.  At an early age painting in coloring books as young as age 3 provided the artist with an outlet to express her innermost feelings through her use of color.  Renee has developed deep compassion for single Mom’s through her own experience for a short time in her life and also, for people who suffer from illness and even death due to environmental related issues.

The historical inspired painting series of Native American appreciation is a gift to the community who enjoy both the beautiful wildlife and fishing that the lake with the longest name in the U.S. offers.  The upcoming series of paintings by Dumont will feature elements of historical appreciation combined with the serenity and unity the lake has to offer. Dumont states, I hope each work of art will make my viewers feel truly connected emotionally to their environment.

HEY HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE LAKE WITH THE LONGEST NAME IN THE U.S.?
Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg is a 45-letter Native American name for this body of fresh water, is often cited as the longest place name in the United States and one of the longest in the world. LOCATION: WEBSTER MA

My most Challenging portrait painting commission

August of 2000 this is when I began to put together the pieces of an industrial site that once stood back in 1850.
Picture
This is where it all began when I was commissioned by the Blackstone Valley Boys & Girls Club to paint my very first painting of the river. I knew this was going to be a very BIG project due to the fact the commissioned piece was to be an aerial view which I had never yet attempted to paint. In, addition, the main part of the painting, was to be the major corporate textile mill that was no longer in existence.

The only pieces of the puzzle I had for reference were some old worn out blue print of the building, and some small pictures in the town’s history book. I was taken on a guided tour which pretty much showed me the area that each building covered. This gave me a rough idea of the dimensions of each structure and an explanation of how the mills utilized river/canal water to generate power to crank the shafts.

As a result, I came to an understanding and I developed an emotional connection of these innocent hard working people. They really didn’t realize how bad the textile mills would soon pollute our waters and destroy our land just trying to make a honest living.

Since then my appreciation for history and my passion for a cleaner, healthier environment grew tremendously. I love this opportunity I have been given to record this small piece of history as we saw it in my mind after the completion of research.

We are watching the Departments of Tourism, work and culture all working together to support the communities, and educate us through creative efforts. Also, we see the Blackstone River Coalition strive to regain healthy water, land and habitation within the Blackstone Valley National Corridor.

The contest was a lot of fun and I had best time connecting with all my friends! It always surprises me to hear which paintings are people's choice. It is perhaps the most important part of creating is in the opportunity to hear what exactly draws one's liking to one painting or group of paintings as opposed to the others.
Thank you again to all my followers!
